Message	garage just now and checked out that journal and it looks like material transfer. I didn't find any gouges in the actual journal (I don't believe). What you say very well may work. I'll try this first. Obviously the easiest solution of all. That way I don't have remove the timing belt, and rear main seal, etc.. Thanks for this info!
